I really liked this book, and I'm a little sad knowing that this might be the last in this series.

I loved Ian and Jen's story, but I've read the whole series one by one and was a little confused by the timeline of events. When I read Isabella's story.... I remembered all the back and forth trips Jen took to Ireland. Yet...in this book Jen only came back home once before these two had decided to make a go of their relationship in Dublin. It's not a huge deal, but it would have been so much better if the author would've stuck to the same timeline of events.

I love this series, mainly because there's not a bunch of explicit sex scenes. It's basically a very clean series, and to me....it makes the stories so much more enjoyable.

Otherwise; I thought this was a great book, and I loved the whole series, as well.

Winter In Ireland Montana Sweet Western Romance Series Book 5 edition by Pamela M Kelley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I’m not sure this author has ever been to Ireland, which is ironic considering that the heroine is an author who is in Ireland researching a book to make it more authentic! There were no descriptions of Dublin, the villages visited (not even named), or the countryside. No landmarks mentioned. Ireland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, use that to your advantage as an author. Also, none of the people who were supposed to be Irish sounded Irish, they used all American phrases. They could have been anywhere. No depth to this book, I couldn’t finish it.
This is a stand alone read with a HEA. It is a sweet romance with no sex scenes so it would be appropriate for any reader. A young woman from Montana travels to Ireland to research for her next romance novel. She is a writer that does well enough to make a living and win some awards but just not the notoriety of Nora Roberts. She will be staying with the aunt of her best friend. Her hostess is a widow of 5 years with two grown sons. She is a very friendly welcoming woman. One son is married and the other is divorced with a 6 year old daughter. He owns his own computer design company and is a workaholic.

The hero will be staying with his mother while his condo is under renovation. He has been burned on a couple of occasions by women interested in his money so he keeps his contacts with women on a one night only basis. He finds himself very attracted to the heroine but she is definitely not a fling type girl and tells him so. Besides those issues, they live in two different countries.

This story is how they finally found a way to be together and have a happy ever after. It is an interesting, entertaining read. There were not a lot of descriptions of Ireland but I thought it was enough to let you know where she was. However, the story wasn't about Ireland, it was about her being a writer and seeing what she does to prepare to write a book. It wasn't hot and steamy but it was enough of an attraction for the reader to connect the two. I really think this book could have been labeled Christian except that it did mention his trying to get her to sleep with him and then when she did it mentioned that "they went up to her room" or some such so that you know they slept together but no descriptions of what they did after they got there. So, I guess it could go either way. But it was innocent enough. I enjoyed the story and I would recommend it. It was an easy read.
There were no bad guys, drug dealers, crazy mother, etc. It was just about these two and how they joined their lives.

I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 10/27/17
Slow, predictable and didn't make much sense when compared to the 'real world'. For example, the heroine is supposedly a semi famous writer with 'dozens' of pages of books and awards and hit the Times Best Seller page, and yet when she meets people who read her books, they never ask any questions about her process or how the characters are, what gives her ideas, nothing. Everyone is 'too nice' and there's no real 'villian' beyond the sterotypical ex and the overdone woman seeking a rich husband. The heroine's expectations of the 'workaolic' hero made me want to slug her. Six year old who always falls asleep at the most convenient times. No sense of Ireland from this at all. There's NO sex in this, implied, but none at all, and it's not at all realistic to this modern time period. Complete waste of time.
I couldn't finish this book. The set up wasn't particularly interesting, I found it very difficult to care about either of the protagonists and considering the heroine went on and on about how important research was when writing a romance it didn't appear that the writer had done any on Ireland, let alone ever been there.
Read this in just a few hours. It was a cute, clean, totally predictable story. The writing style seemed a bit formal or stilted to me. Way too much about meals and food rather than content. The biggest disappointment was the lack of any character or sense of Ireland. It could have been set anywhere.
Jennifer Graham decides to spend two months in Ireland to do research for her new romance novel. She meets the son of the woman that she is staying with and they have a (very tepid) romance of their own. That's really it. It's very bland, very predictable, with no kind of excitement whatever. I kept waiting for something...anything...to happen. It never did. For those looking for clean romances, this will qualify. Sex is alluded to but never described. Food and alcoholic beverages do get plenty of mentions.
Boring! too bad the author couldn't have done a little research like her character did, search the internet or use a Pinterest board to make it come alive. Apart from mentioning the city of Dublin a few times, nothing that brought anything Irish into the story. "Quaint villages" could be in England, Scotland or Europe. I've been in Ireland a total of 21 days but could have added loads more description. Characters were dull and boring too. Overpriced at "Free".
I really liked this book, and I'm a little sad knowing that this might be the last in this series.
